Overview
We provide personalized and professional midwifery care, focused on your specific needs and family situation. We’ll get to know each other as we create the prenatal, birth, and postpartum paths you desire.
Toward the goal of creating an accessible and holistic care in our rural community, we’ve chosen two office spaces in Craftsbury and Morrisville.
We are proud to provide care to all families, including LGBTQ clients. We have taken the Health At Every Size (HAES) Pledge and we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all people.
Initial Consultation
Choosing the right midwife is a personal and important decision. We’ll begin with a one-hour initial interview giving us time to learn about each other and decide if we are a good fit. We’ll answer any questions you have about us and our midwifery care. Schedule your free consultation at either of our two office locations. Virtual and phone consultations are also available.
Prenatal Care
We can begin prenatal care when it works for you. Most begin during the first trimester, but we accept clients at any stage of pregnancy. Each appointment is one hour, giving us time to discuss how things are going, address your questions, and get to know each other. We’ll monitor your progress and evaluate any risks for home birth.
We will meet every four weeks until 28 weeks, every two weeks until 36 weeks, and then every week until birth. Around 36 weeks, we’ll have a home visit with the full birth team including our assistants and those you plan to have at the birth.
We are on-call to you 24/7 throughout your pregnancy for urgent needs.
Our care provides full prenatal testing, genetic screenings, all lab work, and referrals as necessary. We can collect samples needed for lab work in our office and send it to the lab directly without you needing to make extra appointments or trips.
Home Birth
We offer home birth services within a one hour radius of Wolcott or Glover. We attend all births with two midwives and bring all necessary equipment to your home, including oxygen, medications for you and baby, resuscitation equipment, IV fluids, suturing material, and instruments.
We will be available when your labor begins and stay until several hours after the birth to ensure everyone is stable and to provide a full newborn exam and evaluation.
Often people choose home birth to have more autonomy and participation in their labor and birth experience. Our role at the birth is to monitor your progress, assess risks and be as hands-on or hands-off as you desire.
We also support the family as a whole: partners, siblings, grandparents, friends, aunties - whoever you want there!
Water Birth
If you’re interested in laboring and/or giving birth in the water, we have birthing tubs available for rent. We will assist you in getting the supplies you need, as well as set-up and break-down of the birth tubs.
Birth Tub Options:
Postpartum Care
We will come to your home at 1 day, 3 days and 1 week postpartum to check in with you, your baby and your family. You will then return to the office at 2-3 weeks and 6 weeks postpartum.
We will be available between appointments for questions and concerns, and can make additional home visits if needed. We can provide breastfeeding support and/or refer you to a lactation consultant if desired.
The first few weeks after you give birth are a vital time for healing, bonding, establishing milk supply, and adjusting to your new normal. Being able to stay home for postpartum appointments is so beneficial to you and your newborn.
Additional Services
Lactation Support
We are trained in breast/chestfeeding support and because we will be at your home three times in the first week, we can provide consistent guidance and address any concerns. We can also connect you to wonderful lactation consultants in the community for issues beyond our scope of practice.
Well-Body Care
As part of your care, midwives can provide well-body care, including physical exams, pap screening, breast exams, family planning, nutrition, lab work, and other preventive care.

Billing & Fees
We do not accept medical insurance for payment. Payment for our services is cash pay only. Our services are eligible for FSA and HSA payments. The decision to no longer be in-network with insurance companies was a hard one to make but with the increasing cost of Malpractice Insurance and the challenges for midwives working with insurance companies, we felt it was unsustainable for us to continue to practice midwifery in this way. We look forward to continuing to provide the quality of care that feels authentic and sacred to us. Thank you for understanding!
The fee for our entire midwifery services package (prenatal, labor, birth, postpartum & newborn care) is $6000. Please inquire about payment plans and discounts as needed.
It is possible, depending on your insurance policy, that you can submit a member out-of-network claim for reimbursement for some services provided. Reimbursement by your insurance company is not guaranteed and it is your responsibility to contact them regarding claims. We can provide you with a detailed invoice to submit to your insurance company for your claim. Insurance coverage and rates for home birth care from a CPM varies depending on your policy. The client will be responsible for submitting claims.
You will be required to pay the full fee up front and any reimbursement will be provided directly by your insurance company after you submit the claim.
We accept cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, Venmo, PayPal and trade for payment. We want to make this work for you, so let’s chat if you have questions or need a payment plan!
